Restaurant Locavore, Ubud Bali 2019

This was my visit to this restaurant in Ubud in Bali, again the food was superb and the service warm, friendly and attentive. Restaurant Locavore in Ubud, Bali is one of the most interesting food experiences that I have had in a recent time.   By definition a locavore is "a person whose diet consists only or principally of locally grown or produced food" and as such the menu reflects this with food that is locally sourced, inspired and conceptualised.

Locavore offers two differing tasting menus, one vegetarian and one meat/seafood. Both offerings are unusual, interesting and fascinating, as if Ubud, Bali and Indonesia has been distilled into every mouthful, every smell, every taste and every texture.

The restaurant itself is muted tones of stone and wood, local stone and ceramic flatware from Kervala and Gaia.  The large wood tables are well spaced and comfortable. Below is a gallery of the dishes.
